We are based at the Blyth sports complex on South Terrace (near the oval) – see map below, and can be found there every 2^nd, 3^rd and 4^th Sunday of the month from 10am for about 2 hrs (weather permitting).

We welcome shooters (and potential shooters) from ages 10 and up and all abilities, from beginner to seasoned pro. 

Our shooting range and clubhouse are wheelchair accessible. We also run regular beginner’s courses or contact us to organise a time for a complimentary trial shoot.

The sport of archery is easily tailored to your interests – from the type of bow you choose to the distance you are from the target to whether you are only interested in competing against yourself on your home range or wish to be part of a team competing against other clubs or even on the world stage. Everyone is encouraged and everyone is welcome.

Our grounds feature a shaded clubroom and seating is available should you wish to come and support family or friends whilst they are having a shoot or watch a session while you decide whether or not to have a go yourself.

The clubrooms were able to be built with the assistance of the Blyth Development Board, who provided grants for the construction and for an electricity connection. Assembly of the clubrooms is thanks to the support of IKC Sheds and the berm to stop stray arrows was constructed by the team at OTM Civil. Thanks to all of these businesses, who were generous enough to help us create the perfect space and thanks also to all of the volunteer hours given for fencing , mowing and everything else to bring this club to where it is today.

Wakefield Regional Council has also supported us by providing a grant that enabled the club to purchase our first targets and a selection of recurve bows that are used on the beginner’s courses. These are available to borrow if you don’t have your own kit yet.
